 KGY ENLIGHTENED ESCAPE CONTEST RULES

 

KGY RADIO IS PROUD TO PRESENT THE “KGY ENLIGHTENED ESCAPE” RADIO CONTEST (HEREAFTER REFERRED TO AS “CONTEST”)

 

Qualification: Listeners are invited to e-mail their favorite/funniest/romantic holiday memory/story during a segment held at 8:20ish to "Enlighten Traffic Brad"—entries must be under 8 lines and are to be e-mailed to the KGY contest e-mail address (contests@kgyradio.com). Entries will also be accepted via standard mail to the KGY studios: KGY Radio 1700 Marine Dr. NE, Olympia WA 98501—must be at the station by November 6th. Each morning 3 entries will be reviewed by the morning team. Entries are chosen arbitrarily based on their entertainment value to the morning team. During the run of the contest (October 10^th-November 6^th), a daily qualifier will be chosen based on the concurrence of votes from the 4 members of the morning show team and entered into the contest. Station provides no recourse for judging and is not responsible for the outcome of individual entries.

Contest Length: Daily qualifications will run between October 10^th and November 6^th. Drawings for  five qualifiers will be held each day November 9^th-13^th, 2009. 

Additional chances to win: There will be up to three chances to enter the event directly at remote broadcasts--these will be announced throughout the month. These additional entries will be accepted for the duration of the remote contest—and will be entered in  with the other contest qualifiers for the Friday November 6^th drawing.

Prizes: Five (5) grand prizes and five (5) second prizes will be awarded. Each grand prize package consists of lodging for two nights at the Cour D’Alene Golf & Spa Hotel, four tickets for the “North Pole” holiday light show and lake cruise, and $30 in breakfast credits per person for two mornings. Transportation is the responsibility of the winner. The station is not responsible for any expenses related to transportation, nor additional expenses while at the resort, other than those outlined on the certificates as provided by Murphy O’Brien, Santa Monica, CA (hotel advertising agency) and the hotel. Station is not responsible for additional incidental expenses. Estimated retail value for each of the five grand prize packages is $882. Five additional second place entries will be awarded thirty (30) Washington State Lottery $1 Scratch Tickets—specific game to be determined by the station based on availability and inventory on hand.
