Free Naturescaping class set for Nov. 19 Learn how to save water and money on
landscaping while reducing maintenance headaches at a free workshop offered by
Stream Team and WSU Extension on Thursday, Nov. 19 from 6:15 p.m. to 9:15
p.m. in Olympia. The class will be held in Building 1, room 152 of the Thurston
County Courthouse complex, 2000 Lakeridge Drive S.W. in Olympia. “Naturescaping for Water & Wildlife”
will teach design ideas to attract more birds, butterflies, amphibians, and
beneficial insects to home landscapes while protecting water resources. Other
topics will include ideas for cost-conscious landscaping, options for patios and
other hardscaping, minimizing lawns, and selecting drought-tolerant plants.
Participants will receive many free handouts to help them create more attractive
and sustainable landscapes. The workshop is free, but advanced

every one of them leaves behind loved ones and friends. Pacific Lutheran
University in Parkland is among 130 plus conference sites participating in
National Survivors of Suicide Day, sponsored by the American Foundation for
Suicide Prevention. The annual program features a panel comprised of survivors
of suicide loss and medical experts. The Day allows survivors of suicide loss
to connect with other survivors in their local community in an empowering and
healing environment. The conference is sponsored by Auburn~Olympia~Tacoma
Survivors of Suicide, a healing support group for those who have lost a loved
one to suicide. Have you lost a loved one to suicide? National Survivors of Suicide Day is Saturday,
November 22nd. There will be conferences for survivors of suicide loss in
